About Me
Mike Vereb began serving as the state representative from the 150th Legislative District in 2007.

As a state lawmaker, Mike has been one of the leading voices calling for government reform and transparency. He also has been a key advocate for Pennsylvania’s youth and crime victims.

Mike sponsored legislation that was signed into law protecting the victims of crime from being re-victimized by their criminal aggressors. The idea for the law was sparked when the convicted murderer of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner continued to harass Faulkner’s widow, Maureen, from behind bars. The new law allows people like Maureen to seek an injunction from a judge, which would prevent the criminal from engaging in behavior that would further harm the victim or his/her family.

Mike’s sudden cardiac arrest prevention legislation was enacted in 2012, making Pennsylvania the first state in the nation to pass a law protecting its student athletes from sudden cardiac arrest.

He played a key role in revoking the high-profile parole of self-confessed wife-killer Rafael Robb, of Montgomery County, after he issued scathing open letters to the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole after uncovering that the board was not abiding by the law during its parole process. After working to keep Robb behind bars, Mike introduced legislation that was signed into law giving victims of crime a voice in the parole process.

Public service has long been a calling for Mike. He served as president of the West Norriton Board of Commissioners, where he worked hard to make government more responsive and accountable to the taxpayers by holding the line on taxes, preserving open space and supporting first responders.

He also served as a board member-at-large for the West Norriton Little League, a member of the Hancock Fire Company, a member of the Pastoral Council for Visitation BVM, a board member for Visitation BVM Children Youth Organization and as an advisory board member for the Norristown Police Athletic League.

He currently serves as an advisory board member at Pope John Paul II High School, where both of his sons attend high school.

Mike also brings plenty of professional and real-world experience with him to Harrisburg. He has 20 years of combined law enforcement and corporate security experience, including 10 years with the West Conshohocken Police Department, and corporate security work at both Comcast, and Day and Zimmerman Security Services.

Mike and his wife are raising their family in West Norriton, where he is a lifelong resident.
