Vereb Re-Elected As Republican Caucus Secretary
HARRISBURG –Rep. Mike Vereb (R-Montgomery) has been re-elected by his House Republican colleagues to serve as the Republican Caucus Secretary for the 2013-14 legislative session.
“Next session, current members of the House Republican Caucus leadership are all back as a team and I am honored that my colleagues once again voted me into a leadership position,” said Vereb.
Vereb said priorities for next session include focusing on transportation issues, and economic challenges that the state faces in public education and its pension crisis.
The responsibilities of caucus secretary include recording all official legislative activities in the House of Representatives.
The House leadership team will also consist of Speaker Sam Smith (R-Jefferson/Armstrong/Indiana), Majority Leader Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny), Appropriations Chairman Bill Adolph (R-Delaware), Caucus Administrator Dick Stevenson (R-Mercer/Butler), Caucus Chairman Sandra Major (R-Susquehanna/Wayne/Wyoming), Caucus Policy Chairman Dave Reed (R-Indiana), and Caucus Whip Stan Saylor (R-York).
The new leadership team will be installed when the House begins the 2012-13 session in January.
