Vereb, Sons to Participate in Local Heart Screening to Prevent Sudden Cardiac Arrest
WHAT: Now that Pennsylvania has become the first state in the nation to pass a law protecting student athletes from sudden cardiac arrest, Rep. Mike Vereb (R-Montgomery) and his sons will participate in a heart screening organized by Simon’s Fund. This local nonprofit organization spearheaded Vereb’s sudden cardiac arrest prevention legislation, now Act 59 of 2012.
WHO: Vereb and his two sons; Darren and Phyllis Sudman, founders of Simon’s Fund; and local children and their parents participating in the screening.
WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m.
